Robert Lewis McClanahan

Robert McClanahan, 87, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2022 in Ripon, California. He is preceded in death by his son Robert McClanahan and Steve McClanahan, daughter Geneva Schwartz (Tom) and 2 great grandchildren. Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Levenya. He is survived by his daughters Paris Douma (Don) of Ripon and Leslie McClanahan of Oregon. Robert and Levenya were blessed with 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Robert proudly served in the Korean War with the United States Air Force. He earned his bachelor degree in History from Stanislaus State. He was a middle school teacher at San Joaquin County School and Lincoln Unified School District, Stockton Ca. for 37 years. In his spare time, he and Levenya enjoyed camping and traveling in their van. They once did a coast to coast trip in their van, stopping along the way to enjoy the sights. Robert was a very patient and forgiving man. He will be missed by his family and friends.
