Robert Leroy Tapley, 90, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family May 1, 2022 in Manteca. He was born July 9, 1931 in Blythe, CA to the late Simmie and Maude Tapley.
Robert leaves behind his children, Richard Tapley (Cathy) of Visalia, Robert Tapley (Barbara) of Reedley, Stanley Tapley (Mikki) of Manteca, Harold Tapley (Cheryl) of Manteca, Nancy Friesen (Lee) of MD and Nora Reed and Diane Stickert of Sacramento. In addition, he has fourteen grandchildren, Shawn, Joni, Dorothy, Sarah, Stacey, Ashley, Michael, Patricia, Teresa, Dale, Amy, John, Gabriel, Ric and 2 great grandchildren. He is survived by eight siblings, Joel, Steve, Phillip, Lewis, Naomi, Ruth, Evagene and Edith.
Robert was a long time Manteca resident. Prior to Manteca, Arizona was home. He started his family in the early 1950s and worked for the railroad in Tucson, then as a produce buyer in Phoenix before making his way to California. In 1968 he went on to start “Pools by Bob Tapley” in Tulare, Ca. and then arriving in manteca in 1977 he worked construction alongside his brother. He was hard working and created a successful 45 yr business “Buds Concrete Inc” he had til today. Bob was dedicated to his family and held his faith close to his heart. He loved his family dearly and adored his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
