Roland E. Harpin, Sr., born on December 20, 1947 in Rhode Island, passed away on December 25, 2019 in San Diego, California. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol Harpin and his children, Roland Emil Harpin, Jr. and Bret Anthony Harpin.
Roland had the ability to leave a life long lasting impression on everyone he met, especially on the floor. He was a proud man and a man of love, peace, and the outdoors. He spent most of his time with family and close friends where he had an abundant amount of love. He found peace through war. In Vietnam he was awarded a Bronze Star with V and a Purple Heart. That difficult time in war lead him to focus his energy on peace not conflict but was never afraid of it. Being a man of the outdoors you would always notice a glow about him in the outdoors and more specifically when he fished, as it was his favorite pass time. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the Harpin Family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 4pm at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.
