Ronald Clinton Crane, born on February 6, 1934 in Nunday, New York, passed away peacefully in Manteca, California on January 15, 2020. Ronald is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Provost Crane and his brother, Ward Crane. He is survived by his 6 children: Daniel (Susan) Crane of Winfield, Illinois; Kevin (Debbie) Crane of Walnut Creek; Keith (the late Cindy) Crane of Manteca; Kathy (Ed) Byers of Rio Vista; Sandy (Jean) Beauchemin of San Ramon and David (Elissa) Crane of Idaho Falls. He is also survived by his siblings Ed Crane, Marge Erb, Shirley Schrank and Georgia Fuller. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Rachel Crane, Kyle Crane, Jimmy Crane, John Crane, Lauren Byers, Justin Byers, Nicole Beauchemin and Michelle Beauchemin. He had 7 great grandchildren: Madison and Jacob Brown, Kameron, Kristian and Kaiden Crane, Courtney Beauchemin, and Ryder Crane.

Ronald worked as a geologist for Chevron for 30 years. Part of his duties included working on the North Slope of the Alaska pipeline project and COPI- Chevron Overseas. His work allowed him to travel extensively. Ronald was an active Board Member for the City of Danville Parks Commission and East Bay Regional Parks. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and became a Scout Master when his sons were young. When he wasn't working or spending time outdoors, he was an avid reader. 

He is going to be deeply missed by his family.
