Rosalia Perez Torres

Rosalia Perez Torres, age 83 entered into rest on June 29, 2018 in her Manteca, California home.  She was surrounded by her loving family. In heaven she will join her beloved son, Pedro “Pete” Torres Jr.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years, Pedro Torres Sr., and her grown children: Rosa Marie Torres Lujan of Salida, Ca., Gabriel “Gabe” and Denise Torres of Tracy, Ca., Patricia “Patty” and Frank Milobar of San Jose, Ca. She was blessed with ten grandchildren: Yvonne Steglik(Michael), Nicandro Lujan(Maritza), Angelica Cruz, Andreas Lujan, Steven Walraven(Jennifer), Rachel Wicklander(Adam), Victoria Torres(Greg), Brenda Torres, Melanie Torres, and Jennifer Torres. In addition, she was blessed with nine great grandchildren.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Julio Sr. and Aurelia Perez.  Her family relocated to Laredo, Texas.  It was in Laredo that Rosalia’s nursing career began in 1953 at Mercy Hospital.  In 1964 Pedro and Rosalia moved the family to Milpitas, California. She then worked at both San Jose Hospital, and Kaiser Permanente.  Subsequently, after a long nursing career, she retired from Kaiser Permanente in Milpitas, Ca.

Rosalia was a very loving wife, mother(in-law), grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed her rose garden, a good book, fishing in the ocean, and being surrounded by her family. Her greatest passion was being a mother and a nurse. Nursing was something that she could never stop being.

She will be remembered as a loving soul, a child of God, and just a beautiful human being, that will be deeply missed.
