Ruth Morgan was born on March 21, 1929 and passed in her home on May 7, 2022.  She joins in heaven her Husband, Richard Morgan, her son, Daniel Morgan and her daughter, Julie Morgan. She leaves behind her son, Gregory Morgan, and daughters, Antoinette (Gary) Medlin, Sue (Steve) Soares and Cathy (William) Gilbert. She was blessed with 18 grandchildren: Brandon, Matthew, Kristopher, Danielle, Jason, Ricky, Mike, Morgan, Josh, Michael, Casey, Heather, David, Richard, Steven, Robbie, Kelly and Sean.  She has 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Ruth and Dick were married on October 11, 1947 in Delphos, Ohio.  5 children later (and 7 months into the 6th being born), Dick came to California to seek employment while Ruth waited in Ohio.  She then decided that she could not wait for Dick to send for her so she packed up 5 children and set out for California on the train.  What an adventure that was and what a surprise to her husband.

Ruth worked in electronics at Cadre for several years before she joined her husband at IBM where she worked for over 15 years as an assembler

Ruth and Dick were strongly involved in Little League while raising their brood with Dick coaching and ultimately on the Little League District Board and Ruth supported him and ran the little league snack shack and events. They would travel each year to Williamsport, PA for the Little League World Series in their RV which was another passion.

Ruth and Dick were avid bowlers and they brought their kids into the sport of bowling and bowled as a family up until the day…One league they bowled in for over 50 years.  She was told she could no longer bowl due to her rotator cuff so at the age of 85 she taught herself how to bowl left handed.
Ruth bowled thru the age of 91 until COVID denied her for a year and a half.

Ruth was an extremely sociable person talking to anybody and everybody. She was so strong her entire life having endured many life challenges and ordeals and always picking herself up and moving forward.
She never wanted to be a burden on anyone and she would find herself complaining and then say “Ruth” you can do this.”  When she passed, there is no denying she did it in her own time and in her own way.  The world is better for having Ruth Morgan in it and all who knew her loved her and admired the person she was.
