Sally Ann Mantua

Born on January 8, 1953 in Stockton, Sally Ann Mantua, entered into rest on May 21, 2023 in Modesto, Ca. She was 70 years old. She is preceded in death by her father  Abel Gutierrez, mother Carmen Gonzalez and her brother Ray Gutierrez.

Mrs. Mantua is survived by her loving family; husband of 51 years Emilio Mantua, sons Emilio Mantua III and Paul Mantua, grandchildren, Maleena, Mallison and Malanee Mantua and Emilio Joaquin and Gabriel Mantua. In addition, Sally is survived by her siblings, Lydia Guzman, Dolores Murillo, Maria Rodriguez, Inez Elliott, Abel Gutierrez, Louie Gutierrez, Anthony Gutierrez and Dionicio Gutierrez and her step-mother Stella Gutierrez as well as many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

A resident of Escalon, Sally previously lived in Manteca where she raised her children. She retired after 25 years as a registered nurse. During her nursing career, she worked various departments at Doctors Hospital – Modesto and Manteca and Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Escalon and previously St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed RV’ing with her husband, line dancing, gardening and crocheting. Above all, Sally loved spending time with her grandchildren, she loved them unconditionally. She will be remembered for her strong leadership, her cheerful spirit and her loyalty to family and friends.
