Shirley Leon Cuneo, 78, entered into rest on September 20, 2017 in Manteca. She was born on August 23, 1939 in Texas to the late Raymond and Lola Lansford. In heaven, Shirley joins her parents, her siblings Dorthy, Faye, and Tony, and her beloved daughter Kathryn Lola Lara.

 Shirley leaves behind her husband of 62 years, William Cuneo of Manteca, her children, Joseph William Cuneo (Kimberly) of Granite Bay and Lisa Annette Malabed (Victor) of San Jose.  She was blessed with six grandchildren, Melanie Janssens (Fred), Daniel Lara (Maria), Bryanne Cross, Ryan Malabed, Jared Malabed and Haley Malabed and two great grandchildren, Guy Lara and Amaya Lara. In addition, she leaves her siblings, Herman, Nadine, Ann, and Austin.

Shirley was a Manteca resident. She lived in the bay area for many years and worked in the electronic industry. She would retire in Manteca in 1989. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, boating, and traveling throughout the United States with her husband in their RV. She also enjoyed her weekly Sudoku and reading a great book.  She loved her grandchildren and her dog Charly was always at her side. She will be remembered as a loving wife, amazing mother and special grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
