Theresa Marie Grau, 84, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in Stockton, California. The youngest of 10 children, she was born on April 24, 1933 in La Salle, Illinois to the late George and Francis Romano. In heaven, Theresa joins her parents, her first husband, James Truffa Jr., her second husband, Ralph Grau, and her beloved daughter Mary Truffa.

She was a resident of Manteca, California for 54 years.

Theresa leaves behind 2 siblings, Celia Purdy of Oregon, George Romano (Shirley) of Illinois, 3 children, Cheryl Blake, Vincent Truffa (Denise), and Terri Dunn (Craig). She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Shannon Pantoja (Robert), Darcy Goulart (Jeremy), James Truffa III (Jennifer), Steven Truffa, Matthew Truffa, Derek Cox, Raymond Seaburn, Casey Cox, Daniel Dunn, Katherine Anson (Jeffrey), and 6 great-grandchildren, Johnothan Pantoja Jr., Samuel Goulart, Lucas Goulart, Braden Truffa, Kylee Truffa, and Mason Anson.

Theresa was a school secretary for over 20 years with Sequoia Elementary School. She had great care for all the children that walked through her school’s door. She was a devout Catholic at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Manteca. She enjoyed a quiet life in her later years. Some of her favorite activities were crossword puzzles, and reading a good book. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed dearly.

Services for Mrs. Grau are under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. She will be laid to rest, in a graveside service, on Tuesday, October 10, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 Carrolton Rd, Escalon, CA.
