William Gregory “Greg” Prince, 66, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family on July 25, 2017 in Lathrop. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 7, 1951 to the late William “Bill” and Josephine “Joey” Prince. In heaven he joins both parents and baby sister Christine Prince.   

Greg leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years Renae Prince of Lathrop; their daughter Shawna Johnson (Robert Johnson III) of Lodi. He was blessed with three grandsons, Robby, Tyler and Tanner Johnson. Greg also leaves behind his siblings, Kathy Prince Skop Sinclair, Joyce Schiavone, Theresa Prince Trogdon, Emily Prince, Timothy Prince, Denise Prince, Colleen Prince and Paul Prince.

Greg was a Lathrop resident for over 23 years. He grew up in Escondido, CA and later moved to Fremont where he attended high school, eventually making home with his wife Renae in Lathrop. He was in pool deigns and sales for 20 years, but would then venture off into different business prospects.

Greg enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved his Harley, but his passion was music. He could play the guitar like no other and felt most at peace while listening to music. He loved his family, his wife was his best friend and his daughter his biggest pride. He looked forward to spending time with his grandsons and enjoyed when everyone came together.

Greg will be remembered for his beautiful spirt, amazing outlook on life and his selflessness. He will be truly missed.
