Ervan E. Frisk, 95, born in Missouri, the oldest of 8 children on March 17, 1919, entered into rest on April 2, 2014 in San Francisco, Ca.  In heaven he joins his son Glen Duraine Frisk and one grandson Bryan Mendosa.

Mr. Frisk is survived by his wife of 76 years Pearline. Their children are Gloria Hicks (Eldon), Stan Frisk, Marlene Mendosa (Bill), Steve Frisk (Joanne) and daughter-in-law Bobbie Frisk. He was blessed by 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Ervan proudly served his country through the United States Army where he was a WWII veteran stationed in Japan. He was a resident of Manteca for over 20 years where he and his wife raised their children. He retired after 25 years from Johns Manville in Stockton, Ca.  In 1972 Ervan and Pearline built a ranch in Linden where they spent their time raising cattle, producing hay and working in their garden. He was a member of Free Methodist Church in Ripon where he was a past choir director, Sunday school teacher, and board member. He was extremely active in his golden years with many activities. He especially enjoyed the outdoors packing in the Sierra’s on horse or mule. He loved poetry as he commonly quoted beautiful poems to his family. His heart was always full as he never took life for granted. Throughout his life continually cared for others without judgment. His sense of humor was extraordinary as he always was able to put a smile on your face. Ervan will be remembered as a devoted husband, an amazing father and an incredible grandfather. He will be deeply missed.
