I just was informed of "Frisk" passing by my father who knew I would be interested. It has been 30 years since I have seen this wonderful man. He was my bus driver. I witnessed this man's graciousness as he dealt with students who didn't deserve it. He was well liked by those who had the privileged to be driven to and from school. He always said good morning and goodbye and seemed to like his job. Our family appreciated him and thought well of him. I especially enjoyed the times he drove our teams to sorting events. It makes a difference when the bus driver enjoys the sports as much as those participating. I always thought his first name was Frisk as that is what he told us to call him. God Bless this man. I am thankful to have been touched by his life even if it was for a brief time. Great man.

Marrying into this great big loving family is one of the greater privileges of my life. I lost nearly all of my grandparents by the time I was 15. Ervan and Pearline may not know how much their presence in my life has meant to me. I loved the rhymes he so often recited for us, or how tenderly he taught his grandchildren life lessons or the ways of the ranch. As you look down through the generations, you can see Ervans strong work ethic, his love for family and his faith, in each of the Frisk men he's had a hand in raising. His legacy will be felt for generations to come. Until we meet again, Grandpa Frisk, you will be missed.

I just heard. I am joyful he has gone to be with God, but I feel sad that he is not in this world giving unconditional love and wisdom. Just one thing that I am grateful for is that he and Pearline had Gloria, who was one of my best friends in 8th grade and high school. And for having Duraine whom I got to talk to just before his passing and the wonderful ladyhe married, Bobbie, who is still one of my best friends. I have their wedding picture of Duraine, Bobbie and their parents in my bedroom.

Ervan, and Pearline always welcomed me into their house and church and I was in and out all the time. I met Gloria just before Ervan and Pearline built their home just feet from my parents. Gloria and I could open our bedroom windows and talk. The twins could hit a baseball over their fence into our yard.

When I finally became a Christian, Ervan and I had some good talks. I am so sorry for the loss the family is enduring, even tho' their loss is tempered with joy for where he is. He must be so busy up there. He is probably welcoming in all that God and heaven have to offer.

God's blessing on all of you.
