Bill Marples, 78, passed away on March 15, 2017 surrounded by family.  Bill was born in French Camp, CA to Ira and Virginia Marples on June 1, 1938.  He grew up in Manteca, where he graduated from Manteca High School.  Bill raised his family in Manteca where he owned and operated the Manteca Carpet Barn for 27 years.  In Manteca he developed many personal friendships and professional relationships.  He was a well-respected member in the business community based on his honesty and truthfulness.  Bill was a member of the Manteca Lions Club and served as President.  Bill enjoyed many special fun years at his houseboat at Lake McClure and the condo at Leland Meadows with family and friends.  Enjoying snow skiing, snowmobiling, waterskiing, hiking, camping, traveling to Europe to see his family and rafting down the Colorado river.  

     Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Donna Marples; Daughter Kelly Marples-Petroboni and Husband Oscar Petroboni of Switzerland; Daughter Tammy Feddersen and Husband Gregory Feddersen of Ripon CA; His beautiful grandchildren held a special place in this heart; Lauren Feddersen, Kyle and Shawn Petroboni; Sisters Annette Fedeli and Charlene Nascimento, nieces and nephews.  A Celebration of Life to honor Bill Marples will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 5:00pm at Woodbridge by Del Webb Clubhouse, 1451 Americana St. Manteca.  “ CHERISH HIS MEMORY AND LET IT LIVE ON”/  An online guestbook is available at www.plfryandson.com for condolences to the family.
