William “Bill” G. Micheletos, 90, entered into rest peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 27, 2017 at his home in Manteca. He was born on February 12, 1927 in Ziegler, Illinois to the late Gregory and Mary Micheletos. Bill is preceded in death by his younger brother Elefterios Micheletos.

Bill leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Jennie Micheletos of Manteca; children, Marie Basso (Bob), Greg Micheletos (Theodora) and Lynne Summers (Ken). He was blessed with four grandchildren; Michael Basso, Gina Murray (Ryan), Kara Teach (Jeff), Kenny Summers, and three great grandchildren, Aubrey Murray, Kylie Murray and Grant Teach. In addition, Bill has one brother, John Micheletos (Bessie) and one sister, Faith Siouris (Andrew).

Bill was a Manteca resident for 85 years. He served his country proudly through the United States Navy during WWII (1945-1946). Bill farmed for over 65 years, growing table and wine grapes.

He enjoyed spending time at the local coffee shops with his brother John and his many friends. Bill especially loved spending time with his family and was known for his selflessness and devotion to his family.

Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Micheletos family. A Trisagion service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 7:00pm at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on May 3, 2017 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 313 Tokay Ave., Modesto, CA 95350. He will be laid to rest privately at St. John’s Mausoleum with full military honors.  In lieu, of flowers donations may be made, to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, PO Box 578128, Modesto, CA 95357 or Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
