My sister, Carmen, and I became very close. We enjoyed almost daily phone chats, especially during the last 8 years. She had a great sense of humor. I often found myself in disbelief of the extent of her ability to forgive others, who betrayed her trust and who did not value her love. I wish I could emulate some of her qualities and character traits. She demonstrated her intelligence, her courage, and her love for family in many ways. Her generous and forgiving nature had no boundaries.
Her life ended, but her spirit will forever remain alive among those of us, who were lucky to know her. I will treasure the many wonderful memories, too many to mention here, that I have of the many happy experiences I had with my sister.
