Mathew James Sitzmann, age 40, entered into rest on April 25. 2017 in Stockton, Ca.  He was born on March 13, 1977 in Hayward, Ca. Mathew was preceded in death by his grandparents and a close family friend, Christina Simmons.

Mathew is survived by his wife, Malena Sitzmann; his daughter; Eva and his son; Victor; mother; Sharon Sitzmann, father; Robert Sitzmann, sister; Tammi Furtado Kittrell, nephew; Michael Duchene and niece; Ashlee Furtado as well as, a great nephew and great niece.  Mathew also leaves behind his; father-in-law and mother-in-law; Mike and Cindy Contreras and 3 brother-in-laws.

In 1995, Mathew graduated from Duncan High School in Tracy.  On February 21, 2002 he married his wife and later that year his daughter Eva was born and in 2007 his son, Victor. 

Mathew proudly served in the US Army from 2002-2003.  He enjoyed riding his Harley, watching movies and fishing.  He loved playing video games with his son, basketball with his daughter and spending time with his father. Mathew also enjoyed hanging out with his friends, many of whom he knew since childhood.

Mathew was a loving man who didn’t know how loved he was.  We will miss his sweet smile and big heart.
