AURELIO MEDRANO ACOSTA
September 25, 1944 - January 15, 2018
Aurelio Medrano Acosta went peacefully to his Maker on January 15, 2018 in Mountain View, Ca surrounded by members of his loving family. He was 73.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Nerie Cudal Acosta; daughter and son-in-law Renelle and Hiro Sato and their son Everett, of San Mateo; son Derryl Acosta of Concord; sister and brother-in-law Ernesta and Eduardo Aquino of Manila, Philippines; cousins Gloria Castro, Mindy (Vill) Galang, Bella (Florante) Asis, Jose M. Albano Jr, all of Fremont; Cesar Albano (Vita) of Lathrop, Rose (Anthony) Risso of Manteca; Glee Cudal of Las Vegas; Mariano Asuncion of Chicago, and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles in the United States and the Philippines.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Dominador and Cirila (Maria) Acosta, and younger sister Prudencia who died in infancy.
A longtime resident of Lathrop, California, he was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte (Philippines). In Manila, he received his Bachelor of Science Engineering degree from FEATI University, and worked for the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Tarlac and for International Chemical Industries in Bulacan before coming to the United States. He worked as a Production Technician at Synertek in Santa Clara and at Sierra Lumbar in Stockton for 17+ years until he retired several years ago.
He cherished above all his family; in return, they returned his love in equal measure. He loved working with his hands and enjoyed many hobbies including cooking, gardening and doing carpentry projects around the house. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and family.  A lifelong devout Catholic and a deep faith in God, he was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Manteca where he worshipped for many years. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he enjoyed the love and company of many friends many of whom were fortunate to be the recipients of his unconditional generosity. His home was always open to all. He was also a longtime member of the United Bacarreneos of America and served in various capacities as an officer.
